Mystic Seaport
Mystic Seaport Antique Marine Engine Expo 2001

August  18-19, 2001
Mystic CT., USA
This is the largest Antique Marine Engine Show. It includes, gas, steam, inboard, outboard, models, etc. Very well run and a very enjoyable show. "For 2001 we have
allowed history to move forward to include those engine manufactures through 1955. This should bring out some nice outboards. As always, steam engines and models are not bound by the pre-1955 rule. We had the largest number of exhibitors ever in 2000 and with them came 205 exhibits. A fine time was had by all.

Info on Mystic's engine collection.

engines.

I know the name includes "steam", but last year there were a number of gas engine launches in the water, and gas inboard engines on display ashore. The reports are that this is a  nice show.   Report on the 1999 show. Photos from 1999 Show. Thanks David Williams for this information.

I would like to post additional shows that have good early marine engine content. Any suggestions?
