Currently in the process of fixing up a Johnson A-25 outboard. Regrettably, the Magneto is busted in that it no longer sparks on both plugs (when it had two plug wires on it). I was thinking I might have to convert it to a battery ignition system. But if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.

One option might be the new-ish, coil over plug ignitions that many cars have today. They can be triggered by a small magnet on the flywheel. Miro |
