I have a 4 hp Atlantic and the flange on the crankcase is corroded locally in the area where the 4 bolts go through. IT is at about 25% thickness. Is there any way to reinforce this? Anybody had similar issue and solution? |

If you can find a welder with an oven they will be able to weld on new material. It seems that the cast iron has to be heated up then welded. The minimum charge was $100 when i had it done. See thread :http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/3434/141997.html |
