1909 Classifieds The first engine is a 6 cyl Hicks I believe it was a 2 cycle engine. Its not the California Hicks Co.! Anyone know about this one ??  |

let's see I can buy the 50 hp Hicks for $550 or two dead heavy 25 hp Standards for $2,000. 1907 must have been a very good year for Standard. I presume the Standards were super deluxe heavy duty commercial engines and the Hicks was a lightly built race engine. |

Palmer-Moore ads claimed them to be the first mfgr of an open base two cycle marine engine ? 1907 single
