Hello. I have acquired a lifeboat motor, but I am unsure of the make. I suspect it is a SABB, because of its general look and the fact that it came out a a lifeboat. The lifeboat was made in Holland, I believe, in the 70's or 80's. The motor is a crank start, single cylinder, air cooled diesel. The flywheel is completely enclosed. The compression release rod runs down to the top of the block and not on top of the rocker cover. There is a plastic cowling around the cylinder forcing air around the cylinder fins. The rocker cover is a funny shape (pentagon of sorts) which might help with identification. The are some numbers and letters on the block, but I haven't been able to find anything definitive from these. The numbers are 7110250, under that is AGV and under that is K2075. Any thoughts appreciated. Sorry about the wonky posting, I am new to this.Thank you. |
