Hi, I came across this thread when I was searching for information on an unknown heavy cast base stationary marine engine that my dad & I have that was found in Nova Scotia. It was missing quite a few parts at one time but the basic engine is there. The carburetor, crankcase side cover plates, exhaust flange, etc. are not original. Were hoping to make patterns & fix this engine right when we find a positive id of it. Theres a boss on the side of it & it might have had a 2-piece ignitor at one time. The engine has a raised center head & hole spoke flywheel somewhat similar to the early Champion engine shown in this thread; there are also quite a few differences though. See thread at; http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/1/260197.html I havent had the engine apart yet so I dont know if theres any stampings or serial number. Does anyone have any more pictures of Champion engines? Thanks & any help on identifying this is appreciated, -Nick
