Hi guys,

I don't know if you are able to help identify this Foden engine.

I have been told it is a two stroke diesel with supercharger but that is all I know.

Pics attached.

Thanks very much.

Tim

GIMF eh? ;) Naturally I googled Foden 2 stroke diesel on the net and found quite a bit of stuff too, and that was how come I wound up here, but knowing nothing whatsoever about engines I was unable to make much if any sense of the information that was available.

Of course, what we are really interested in is an approximate value and potential sale of the engine, and if we knew more about it then the market for it would perhaps become easier to find.

It was all set to go for scrap but somebody suggested it might be rare as rocking horse doo dah.

Thanks again

Tim

It is an FD4 Foden, not quite as common as the FD6. The Royal navy had thousands of them. I bought an FD6 on ebay a couple of years ago for 120. I had it running the day after I got it home. Hope this helps. I am a member on here "Roadster541" but I am having some trouble with my password and my registered email address is no longer valid. I don't have an FD4 (yet!)

Thanks very much Rod.

Apparently the engine has never been used.

I'll be in touch :-)
