* I don't have information to the actual connection between these two Companies but I believe That The Newfoundland Specialty Co. was an agency of the Parent Company "Knock Down Motor Company of America " Trade name " KDM ". In 1908-09 they advertised engine kits and with their instructions you assembled it yourself ? I've had this 1909 ad for many years and still not quite sure what " A Syncronized-Chronometer Proposition " is ??
Knock Down Motor Co. later sold assembled engines as well as kits ! * |

Thanks, a lot of companies were agents for one or more types of engines. Guess they were part of the early kits. (assembly required) |
