hey boaters! hows it goin? havin some probs with my jet. pulled it apart for overhaul and found 1 of the stators is froze in the alum housing. the 3impellers and other stator move freely. I have been looking at it more closely and it kind of looks like it is suppose to stay stationary. the shaft was bad so i machined a copy of it, new bearings, orings, seals, etc. the stator has me puzzled, i do not remember it being free the last time i was in it. Is it suppose to spin in the cylinder housing? the water bearing in the center looks a little worn, i may have to press in new 1. Have any of you run across this stator frozen in housing? |
