Hi! We purchased an outboard motor at a sale that doesn't have any identifying marks on it. We believe it is an "Atlas" but are not sure. It is (2) cylinders and has a serial # 0042436 on it. Also looks to be from maybe the 30's or 40's. Any help you could give us would be much appreciated. Thank you very much, Laurie |

Atlas Supply Co. of Newark N.J. was a distributor of many products, The Atlas Spark plugs were made by Champion Spark plug co . of Toledo Ohio. the out board motors were made by Gale Products a division of Outboard Marine Corp. They were named Royal or Atlas royal and first sold in 1947-48. The serial numbers on the above motor don't seem to match with Atlas royals though ??? |
