i am restoring a 1939 higgins 27ft. eureka, it has all the gauges, wiring, sterring and controls, I'm looking for help in finding what gray motor and trna, that could have been in it?

In that era, the engine and transmissions were integrated into one unit.
Probably a 4 cylinder, 45 HP Gray would be the one that was used, would be my guess.
The prop would be something like a 13- 14 in diameter and 14 - 16 in pitch.
You should have much difficulty finding one.

OOPS -

I wanted to say that you should NOT have too much difficulty finding one.

A good source would be marinas that have been around for a while . You can also try your local chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society.
If you know some shops that repair or restore old wooden boats, give them a try too.

That engine and prop combo in that boat would give you roughly 12-14 mph. But I think you'll find cruising at a slightly lower speed much more enjoyable.
