Need help idnentifing this engine transplanted into an old crawler tractor. Note: Aluminum head, carb atop valve cover, therefore intake manifold incorperated into head. The unique design cast into the valve cover should be the clue to ID.

Magneto for Liberty marine engine. I saw a request for a magneto for a Liberty Marine Engine and have one for sale on ebay.com.au. It looks like an early Bosch or Lucas but has "Liberty" stamped on the body. |

It looks like a german Borgward, going by the script on the valve cover. |
