Hi Garry, According to the parts list that comes with the SXT manual, the propellor for an SXT engine should be 3 bladed, 11" diameter x 10.5" pitch. Cheers, Bruce. |

I have a 3.5 Blaxland in a 13 ft Clinker. It runs a 13 x 13 prop set up and matched to the boat by Aub Rose 20 years ago. Like all engines the prop size required will be largly determined by boat size, weight, shape etc. |

Here's an interesting link on propeller sizing: http://www.alloutdoorgear.org/boat-propellers.asp?keyword=boat-propellers-sizing &engine=google&contextual=no |

I should have mentioned, my prop is a 3 blade. It is also interesting to note that before Aub fitted the 13 X 13 x 3 blade the boat had a 14 x 14 x 3 Blade with trimmed tips, probable to make it fit in the space available. With the 1 inch bigger prop the motor would not accelerate very well, was short of top RPM and the motor lugged and ran poorley. In my case the that extra one inch was quite a big difference. I have also owned both small and large inshore and offshore racing boats, it is even more critical if you are looking for a competetive edge. |
