I aquired a Lucas SR1 magneto which was dismantled to replace rusted bearings. Is there such a thing as workshop manual for the Blaxland/lucas sr1 Magnito? |

Reworded. Wanted manual for Blaxland/Lucas sr1 magnito for 5/7 twin. I need to time the drive gear to put the rotor button in the correct location. |

Rather than leave my question without an answer I contributed my solution. Using the principal simlar to timing a motorcycle. No1 Piston set to 7/16" before tdc, points beginning to open; with rotor button removed, set the drive gear with a light tap on armiture. Make sure the rotor button is positoned to front cylinder. Advance and retard would be good. |
