Hi. This is the Blaxland Greyhound 6\8Hp muffler. It is a few layers longer than the Super Pup 4 1/4Hp, yet the same diameter i think!? They are built-up from alternate layers of iron spacer rings/ and perforated bulkheads, from memory, there are longitudinal bolts holding them all together. Tho i wonder if all those internal baffles are necessary with a wet exhaust!?exhaust box
It looks like Way too much weight at the end of that long-lever-of-a manifold.
You can see a bit of your model's muffler on this page; http://www.oldmarineengine.com/history/Blaxland/blaxland.htm

Hi Greg
Thanks a lot, for you input, do you think the internal baffles are perforated plate ? Looks like making that manifold will be a job, But maybe ill come across one. At least now i know what to look for, Cheers

Hi - I have a few Super Pup bits including a rusty exhaust pot and extension pipe similar to picture. The pot is roughly 7 1/2" diameter by 7 1/2" long. There are no through bolts or internal baffles - just empty space inside and lots of rust. There is also a 3/8" gas thread inlet on top. This unit is rusty and patched with fibreglass. Would be good for replicating a copy in steel (should be galvanised). It is a simple pattern if a casting is wanted. I know a patternmaker and have access to two good foundries in the Sydney area. If you are interested, the unit is at Baulkham Hills.
