I have a blaxland twin that I wish to sell but Iam unsure of the value and was after a guide as to a fair and reasonable price to ask. The motor came out of a wooden boat I bought a couple of years ago and I was told that it was in good order. I have never started it so Iam really unsure of its condition other than to say it has plenty of compression. Any guide would be appreciated. Graham Blaxland twin

I would be interested in your engine. Have u got the magneto that belongs to it? IF the engine works and u have the magneto Let me know if u are interested around $1000. Where are u at? I am on the Central Coast. Kind regards,

Yes Bruce I did see that one, and a brand new gear box as well. It needs to go in the right boat to do it justice. Makes me think I should keep mine and find another boat to put her in although my wife may have something to say about that. I think I may list it on ebay like Neil suggests but as I do want to sell it $1500 start seems bloody high, but then again what would I know. Thats why I started this thread I guess. Thanks everybody for your comments. Graham PS I also have a pristine Savage Nautilus with a Yanmah 15hp for sale if anybody is into Tuppaware boats, its listed on boatpoint

Boyd and I rebuild them to as new spec as possible
(bearing in mind that new cranks and base plates
are no longer available)for $3000 >twin $2000>single, Bret also does them $4000>twin,
$3000 single. That guy in the afloat will die of
old age before he sells that, unless he finds
some unlucky victim

Todd, If your talking about top & bottom of crankcase not available, then there were some listed on ebay and only just expired. They never received a bid. part no's 31 & 34 in manual. They were listed under vintage stationary engines. Graham

We have plenty of usable second hand units
We repour the bearings. The things that make
them unusable are severe corrosion,cracks,severe
warping(god knows how that happens ,but it does)
people who insist on "drilling" extra holes in
them wist an oxy torch, and rods that go through the
sumps

grayman checked out your nautilus on boatpoint as I like them but a bit pricy. I would only be spending 15k for such a boat. let me know if your interested at the price. you probably have better opportunity to sell in qld as these boats not as demand in melbourne.
