Hi I have recently purchased a Putt putt boat for use on the Nagambie Lake system Victoria. it has a Blaxland 2 cyl engine that I have had running, I am in the process of getting it running nice to see if the whole thing is worth restoring. My question is how do you get the 1/8 pint of oil into the sump? I would also like to know if there is still asource of parts available? Regards Jeff. |

Jeff has the motor been drained of oil allready? If it has, then to recharge the sumps, start the engine and whilst running at a meduim speed dribble a steady stream of oil in front of the air horn using a suitable sized squeazy bottle with the correct amount of oil in it Yes parts are still available,as well as a rebuilding service here on the central coast |

Let's not start that discussion again :-) Jeff, there is a whole discussion devoted to the subject of oils and greases elsewhere on this forum. Cheers, Bruce. Glenhaven NSW |

Ok then thanks for the info, I need a set of spark plugs and the seal between the carby top and the fuel bowl to get this thing running good enough to assess its condition, any clues where to procure them? |

Jeff, The Champion 25 Spark Plugs are hard to get. You can get them from Repco but they are usually ones made in Mexico, and as Todd will tell you, they are very unreliable. Talk to Todd about spares and spark plugs. If you read through other posts on this forum you will find a PDF version of the Blaxland Manual. Cheers, Bruce |
