Ron, the Cuno timers are usually used with a buzz coil, a model T Ford type coil. These coils fire when the points close, points and condensor fire when the points open, this affects engine timing. Wiring is easy, battery + to top button on the coil, middle button is high tension lead to the plug, lower button on the coil to the timer terminal, and a wire from the engine to battery -. When the timer closes, it completes the circuit and coil fires. Look at Dick Day's Technical tips on this site for some good info. |
