I have a 65 HP Universal Unimite Four in my 1956 Sheppard Ski-Bee, its a 6 volt system...I'd like to rebuild the engine, I could use a full set of gaskets, pistons, rings and valves. Any ideas on where I can find parts? |

Find out what the block would be. With that info you will be able to find those parts easier to find at you local auto parts store. I use NAPA for parts for my Scripps. Good luck. james |

Daniel I have just completed redoing my 16' Shepherd with a Unimite HFVD engine. This block is the same as the Chris Craft B engine. The parts are all available except they are very expensive. The V-drive can usually be rebuilt. If you need any parts contact me I may have some. I had two engines and only rebuilt one.Contact Mr.B-Bob Sloan in Katy tx. He is the man with Model b parts. Try 281-574-4537 usually about 3 to 7pm their time. Good luck |

Joe - I know your post is pretty old, but do you still have those Unimite Four engine parts available? My mechanic thinks I have an internal vacuum leak and should start looking for a new manifold. Thanks |

You can download the Operation and Maintenance Manual for this along with a number of Universal Marine engines from the following URL: http://www.westerbeke.com/OnlineManuals/200156_Atomic4_Operator_Man.pdf The first page suggests it's only for the Atomic 4 model, but it contains most of Universal's engines at the time. Some pages in the scan can be challenging to read, but it's a good reference to have on hand... |
