I am looking for an old style water pump for my A4. It is not an impeller pump but a gear pump. I heard the first A4's produced used a gear pump and I am interested in putting one on my FWC A4. Any help will be appreciated.

What is the reason for that? They are hard to prime and need a check valve inline.
