I own and am working on a Buda 1879 (CID) 6 cylinder diesel marine engine which is in a 65' wood tugboat located in Washington. The boat was made by prisoners with private funds for the US army and launched in 1942. I acquired it after it had sunk, was raised and left for a couple years. Besides getting a big engine un-stuck my troubles are primarily that one of the sleeves is bad probably because of a broken ring but it is still stuck so that is a guess. I would like to connect with anyone that has one of these engines because I have not found any parts or other engines after allot of searching! Thanks! |

I have an operational Buda 1879 and have been acquiring many parts for the last 21 years. I have a number of sleeves. Are you still looking? |
