Several 1915 Auto etc trade magazines carried the announcement of this Buda V8 in early 1915 issues, complete with pix and specs...(sorry, never learned to link)...
None of my old engine parts catalogs list a Buda 8 before 1930, so don't know if this ever got into serial production, but looks doubtful...
Does this engine sound familiar to anyone?? (also posted to car/truck sites)...

Completely forget this inquiry---
This engine does appear for 1916-17 in a 1917 ring catalog as the DE/DEU (typical Buda terminology--they had many engines listed like that (HU/HTU, XU/XTU etc)..
Got into at least one car (1916 Pilot 8-55) |
