Hi all, I've just acquired a job lot of 3 ST engines (at what I considered a very resonable price of £40 ? )having hankered after one for some time. An R3M , a P5 and a P6 all in various states of repair but pretty much complete but all lacking magnetos. The Internal Fire Museum came up with a manual for the R3 but it doesn't state what type of mag should be fitted. I would also like to obtain manual(s) for the other two. So...........is there a dedicated club I can join or other source of manuals and/or parts and what type of mags do these little beauties use? Any info would be gratefully received. Thanks , Geoff. |

Apologies to all for being a total dummy. I just spent a very short time on a web search and also reading some of the other postings on this site and basically there it all was , at my fingertips. The club question still stands though , I'm located near Newton Abbot in Devon , England. Cheers , Geoff |

Hello Geoff, I'm in Plymouth and have an R3MC rusting happily away in my Gran's garage in Ashburton. It's fitted with a Lucas SR1 magneto (which I guess you will have deduced). I know of no club locally. Fancy forming one? Jon |
