I have recently restored a P55 but i have a copper exhaust and silencer are no good. I am wondering if it would be possible to run water throught the exhaust using a heavy duty flexible hose. The distance from exhaust port to transom is approx 5ft. Does anyone have any tips on how this can be done.

Thanks

Syd .....why do you say the copper exhaust and silencer are no good? Is it because they are clogged up with carbon? If this is the case you can clean them out with judicious use of Caustic Soda and Hot water BUT BE CAREFUL!
The flexible metalic tube would be OK but not ideal . Being spiral wound it will build up carbon quite quickly.
I have converted my brass Silencer to being able to be taken to pieces and cleaned ...a dirty job !
