A friend has a P5. It has been overhauled, The Magneto rewired.Carb cleaned. But It will not start. Easy start wont work.Tried oil down S/Plug hole, Engine started. Ran a while stopped and wont start again. Any ideas anyone. Ps rewired my P66.to a single switch.all ok thanks to all who replied. |

Sounds like it may be low on compression, does it feel like it when pulling it over? It should have a good bounce when rocked against compression. If a two cycle has blow-by it kills the next intake stroke by filling the crankcase with exhaust. |

My thoughts as well . Stuart Turners realy need good compression. When the engine was overhauled was note taken of the ring gap? Also the crankcase seals? I substitute synthetic seals to replace the original S/T ones. If new rings were fitted it certainly helps to remove the cylinder glaze.....with a hone. |
