I have a beautiful red light on my dynastart charging system but I do wish it would go out! I have checked wiring and connections and have remedied all the suspects! Attention turns to the Control Box and DynaStart charging systems. Has anybody got test data for the system please? For example how should the DF voltage vary with low battery voltage ? I assume the voltage increases to increase charging rate.

Sorry, I cant help, my Dyna Start unit runs hot after running for about 40 minutes the temperature gets up to about 60 0c is this normal? |

High running temperature of the dynastart is to be expected. The Manual says (para D18)"The apparant high running temperature of the dynastart is not a cause of concern, it is designed for a frame temperature of 90 degrees centigrade".
In fact I think I may be close to answering my own question on the control box etc and hope to submit a solution soon!

If like me you have a 3 position switch make sure its in the charge position light should go out then. |

Thanks for that!! I too have the three position switch but I have a problem with the Dynastart and the charging control box.
I have been trying to understand the details of the control box to try and sort out where the problem was. I have now had a fault on the inside of the dynastart rectified and am going for a replacement charging control box (Bosch I think!!)
