I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and don't really have a clue what it's worth..... It's been pulled down, rebuilt, and is in good working order, with fresh paint..... Any guides as to what I could expect to get would be most apprieciated....... |

Hang in there Rob ,somewhere there is someone who would love it ,value ,only what they are willing to pay . There are no hard and fast rules in this collecting game . But someone who is rebuilding a clinker style boat would love it .
Dont chuck it out as they are a beautifully engineered little engine with a lot of history behind them . |

Hi Rob/Peter,
I'm building a small clinker launch(12 foot). It is about ready to turn over. I have been looking for a smallish(3Hp or so) two stroke for some time. Blaxland Pup etc without any luck. My ACME 5HP four stoke is a bit heavy and overpowered for this size boat.
I don't know much about the Stuart Turner P55?

Peter, would NEVER throw it out!! The plan was to put it back into the 18ft clinker it came out of, but I need something less maintenance-intensive....
Mark S, the P55 is a 8hp twin, with fwd/rev box... I have a Vinco 4hp single, unrestored but turning over, with good compression, will run when Magneto is finished....... Was planning to re-paint & run as a display engine, but I'm willing to sell..... E-mail me for photos.....

I would love to put an engine in a boat ,maybe latter this year we have decided to move house to Albany right down the bottom of West Ausralia .With a clinker hull do they have to be in the water all the time ? Maybe a Fibre glass hull would be the answer . I have amongst my collection of inboards a nice Stuart Turner P5 |
