Has anybody got any info on what was the org mag for the above engine, and where a replacement can be obtained, have two engine`s but neither has mag`s. Please contact John at [email protected] |

Lucas SR and Series A WICO magnetos are used on the Stuart engines. They should be fairly easy to obtain as they can be or are used on some other marine engines. I believe some were also used on stationery engines but may have a different coupling eg Lucas. Try to get one with an "impulse" start - ie impulse fitting that incorporates a spring that compresses then lets go to give a strong spark - for easier starting.
Try a stationery engine swap meet or field day as there may likely be a magneto guy selling one or there are magneto repairers/electricians that advertise in stationery engine magazines.
