Dear all
I now seem to be buying S,T'S just because they are there to buy and just so I can fix them up and see them running. I am sure they are help groups for this but until I find one I need help with my latest dilemma.
I have bought a P66D that seems God apart from the complete lack of ingnition system. The only thing left is the Lucas back plate for the points. I am aware that two points and coils are needed which run off the cam which is also there. What I really need is either a system diagram but more importantly info on the points. I assume they will be Lucas so need the Lucas part number (not the Stuart catalogue number)
If anyone could help I would be very grateful.
Kindest regards.

Hi Thanks for the response. I have 2 P4's and one early P5 but all of them are incomplete and mostly missing the same bits. I am not sure what their original forms were as they are so incomplete. I just cant understand why these particular bits seem to go missing when the main lump(s) seem to be left. I don't even have enough bits to make one working engine. My shopping list follows

Timing gears & chain on all of them
Speed regulator mechanism on one of them
Carburettor Speed regulator arm on all of them
Dipstick on all 3 of them
End timing case cover and the bits that go with it (2 x long shaft engines)
Starting handle thimble for flywheel (2 of them)
Carburettors on 2 of them
Cylinder, piston and cylinder head on one of them

Some bits I could make or get cast if I had patterns but Its almost certain I will never get all 3 complete . I cant even cannibalise one of them to help the rest. I would consider swapping one of the long shaft engines for bits

Chris
