Hiya Steve, yes of course I would post it, its quite heavy as you can appreciate, so I'd have to get an estimate ... where abouts are you? It has both sets of points, condensor and coil fitted, although the coil will need to be rewound, looks like its been nibbled??!! haven't thought about the price ... anything interesting to swap??!! Cheers, Jan.

Hi Jan, i am in west london, greenford to be exact on the grand union canal, are you sure its for an R3MC ! If it has 2 sets of points then it must be from a twin cylinder engine like a P55 or P 66. do you have any photos, and what would you consider as an interesting swap. regards steve,

Hiya Steve, apologies for misleading you, I was referring to the points cam question, one set of points, with both parts intact is what I mean't! I am sure it is from an R3MC, I have kept one for myself in case I ever want one for the 2 R3MC's that I run ... definatley for a single cylinder! I'll try to upload a photo today and you can see for yourself! Any old engine, old boat bits, I've got plenty of magneto's ...

Hi Jan, thanks for clarifying the points issue and a photo would be great. i have a few spare parts for the R3M, R3MC, P55ME, PROPSHAFTS AND STERN TUBE FOR R3M , ALSO A FEW PROPELLERS.I have a collection of stuart marine engines and they are:- p66, p6, stuart sole diesel, 3xR3MC, 1XR3M , P5ME, AND 3X SEAGULLS. I have had many more in the past which i have sold on as a result of having a bit of a tidy up after the wife complained she could not get the washing out of the drier. its easy to get distracted from the job at hand when you are rebuilding a boat and you have a passion for stuart engines of all shapes and sizes. hope to hear from you soon, regards steve.

Hi Jan, it would be great if you could . as for the swap could you be more specific as i would hate to send you some parts and they are of no use to you, what about an r3mc head and a stuart carb to suit , or even some crank case parts, or a complete clutch assembly. regards steve.

I also have some R3MC used copper head gaskets if this is of interest to you? By the way, do you know how to date Stuart Engines? Cheers, Jan.

Hiya Steve,
The serial number on the P5M 4hp Stuart is 18024, and the R3MC 1.5hp is 35576 (I have another R3MC in situ on my boat, which is on a mooring at the moment) The sea cock and the shaft would be for the P5M, length would be as long as you've got, the P5M hasn't got a vessel as yet, or been run up for a number of years either... hope you got the images?

Can anyone provide information on my P5 Stuart 4hp @ 1500, with serial number 10A434. This number appears on the cylinder tag, and on the gearbox tag.
Thank you for any help on this number. I have had the engine for 5 yrs and occasionally search for a boat for it to push around.P5

Hi JW,Your P5M was manufactured between the dates of april 1958 and april 1963, the serial numbers start at:- 10A001 and finish at 10A999. This should put your engines build at around April 1961. i hope this is of help, regards steve.

Hiya Steve, managed to get a shaft as luck would have it, just a sea inlet/strainer for the Stuart P5M if you've got one? Perhaps a Stuart Carb? Cheers, Jan.
