I have a 1960's Dauntless with a twin-cylinder 8hp two-stroke Stuart Turner engine which has become unreliable. It will tick over and rev fine, and run for a short while under load, but then gradually fade and stop. Sometimes it will take a while before it starts again. I am not mechanically minded. Can anyone recommend an engineer in Essex, UK, who would have a look at the engine in the boat for me ? (Or is there an obvious cause of the unreliability ?) Many thanks, Stephen |
