The P6 in my boat does not have the silencer. The exhaust currently has a small water lift near the outlet. The information I have indicates that the silencer adds to the performance of the engine. I'd like to include one. The product literature says the silencer is a 4 inch diameter by 18 inch long tube. It is an absorption type. What does that mean? What's in the thing?
Any help would be appreciated.

It would be straight thro' with a load of holes puched in the circumference. The gap between filled with asorption material ie exhaust wadding/packing. |
