Hello all, New to forum and the wonders of Stuart Turners. I have a P55 twin cylinder with solex carb mounted in a Hurley sailing yacht. The engine has been overhauled but the yacht has been laid up for a year. So, changed spark plugs, new fuel, bled out fuel and she started! After messing about with chokes, start levers, etc she ran sweetly. At the start water was circulating and being pumped out the side. As the engine warmed up it stopped. There was an actuator arm moving on the water pump before. Now it has stopped. I assume a chunk of something may have come away and caused a blockage but what of the actuator arm? Water is coming in through the filters and I have checked the pump valves. Any ideas as to why the pump actuator should have stopped? Is it serious? Any help appreciated. Rupes |

I have a Stuart Turner P55 which I bought at a show a couple of years ago. It has no magneto, but I wired it up to run with two coils. And it runs perfectly. The project I bought it for has become too much for health reasons, and I would like to sell it. Offers please. |

Anthony Waight, Where is the engine located and do you have any images? Is this in the Classified section yet? John Archibald Northfield, Minnesota |
