Good morning, I am considering buying a boat which is advertised as having a 5.5 HP Stuart Turner in good running order 'no smoke'. I know nothing about these engines, what sort of cruising speed could I expect and are there any pitfalls I should look out for, any idea what model a 5.5 hp is likely to be. I am heartened by reading these enquiries and the help given, otherwise I think I might have given a ST a miss out of hand. Are spares available?

not a expert on these engines but iv got a R3M in my hurley silhouette and its brill it has its own personality good and reliable lil engine when treated right hope you make your mind up jamie |
