Anyone know of a source for those nice slotted, high crown, hexhead, brass machine screws that hold the Scheblers together? When did Schebler use the iron machine screws (which are so #$@?* hard to get out at times)? Are the iron ones replacements for the brass or are they the originals? |

They are replacemts and can really mess up an otherwise nice brass carburetor. The problem is not unique to Schebler it is found on all the common knock offs. You will have to make the cap screws and that take a lot of time and the right machine tools. |

Dick, Thanks for responding. I was afraid that the answer would be 'make them'. I have bought a number of the Scheblers just for parts but usually, if there is anything missing or beat all to pieces, it will be either those nice brass cap screws or the screw-on cover over the float valve. That leads to another question, does anybody stock those little brass covers over the float valves? |

George Coats Sr. does some excellent repros, the covers, and the fuel inlet fittings, resonably priced too. |

Hello All, If you need some I think I can talk Dad into making them. He does still have covers and fitting parts for the 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch Scheblers and Monarchs. Yes they are different, and yes there are two styles of fitting parts. If you let me know what size for the bolts, I'll relay that to him. George IVy |
