Hi I wonder if anyone can help me with this brass carburettor. Stamped in the side is 308T and underneath is GG 282. It does not appear to be a standard Amal or Villiers unless a very early pre monobloc? The float chamber is aluminium and may not be original? but has C BINKS (1920) LTD and ECCLES on the top. It came with a Watermota K2 selection of bits but does not seem to tie up with any of their documentation for carbs? How might the needles have been fitted - they appear to have been soldered straight to the ends of the cable nipples? Does anyone have any info on needles and jet sizes to suit this engine? Sorry for so many questions, grateful for any help, Thanks  |

Looks like a motorcycle carb to me, never saw one mounted like that. |

Thanks J B and Ernie. The carburettor on your photo Ernie looks even older and has levers mounted directly onto the top of the carburettor but it has the same clamp fitting.
I saw this engine advertised myself it is a K2 no 2531 |
