I guess many collectors are still not aware of Nitrophyl floats. I think there is only one manufacture of the Nitrophyl (Rogers Corp)and they only sell in larger quantities. Also listed below is a company (Restoration Supply Co.)who resells in smaller quantities. They also sell Schebler floats but they are just a little on the expensive side however remember once you get this float it will last forever. Epoxy or polyester floats with micro ballons will eventually over a few years use will get rubbery and break. Nitrophyl is also lighter weight. I have machined nitrophyl floats for myself and a few others for the DEW engines that have the low pressure fuel injection systems and so far all have worked great. Go to PDF catalog on Restoration Supply Co. website to see floats & material page 17. http://www.rogerscorp.com/ec/nitrophyl.aspx http://www.restorationstuff.com/catalog.html P.S....I do not work for either of these companies just passing on information that I dug up on the internet for myself and now I'm sharing with others to help with their restorations. |
