I wonder if they made an 1-1/2" carb? I have all the other sizes. Thanks for the information Richard! Looks like it was a marine model. Imagine the engine it was on. I would guess in excess of 800 c.i.

Yes 1 1/2 were made

1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, and 2 inch - 6 sizes

There is one of these big brass gasoline jugs on my 1929 Hart-Parr 18/36 three fuel tractor, two cylinder 501 cubic inches. It starts on gasoline when warms up switch to kerosene, if the plows dig in and engine starts knocking there is a valve that is manually opened it lets water into the intake manifold, just enough till the knocking quiets down ?

Atlas Imperial engines that started on gasoline used a big single Schebler.

Pity it was sandblasted.

It may have been sand blasted Robert. I have a new old stock 1" schebler that I got from a friend in Florida that was still in the original box. It was never used and has the same casting look to it. I know some were polished smooth as I also have a couple of those. I'm in the market to buy an 1-1/2" if anyone has one to part with. Need not be in working order as it will be for display only. Thanks for information Robert on them being used on those big Atlas engines.

They were used from 1920 to 1933

I don't know the many applications and types of vehicles, tractors, fire Trucks etc.

Some of the marine applications I'm aware of are

1. Lycoming----- 1930-31

2.Kermath------- 1925-29

3.Scripps------- 1924-28

4.Sterling------ 1926-29

5 Van Blerck---- 1926-28

Other mfgrs used The Model S also !

As to the finish on these carbs they came in polished, sand blasted and rough cast all in brass
They also came in iron and aluminum.
