Hi, I own a boat shop down here in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a potential customer wants to bring his boat to my shop to rebuild his twin Gray Marine CH-280 v8 M series engines. I want to know specs of these engines, What is their automotive counterpart? maybe automotive versions parts are more readily available and/or where to buy parts for this engines if I cant get any automotive sibling? I dont even know its displacement. The guy says its Chevy BB based, though I dont think so, cause I know Chevy engines and they are not like those twins. From this depends if Im gonna take the job or not, I dont want to struggle finding old parts for rare engines, and I cant afford to have a boat in my yard for too long. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Juan Castro |

I have a GrayMarine CH-280 V8 in my boat. The engine is a 401 cid Buick. Depending on what you need, you can still get parts for the automotive counterpart. |

I have a 188 hp Grey Marine engin for rebuild or for parts. It is a 327 AMC block. Has Twin single barrel carburators. I'll take $200 for it and help out by putting on a pallet. It was running but needs an overhaul. |

Peter I could be interested in your 188 gray marine since I just bought a boat with that model 1961 engine. How do I reach you and where is the motor? |

Question: Is the Graymarine 280 a reverse rotation engine? Thanks, Sergio |

How can I know it without disassemble? I´m gonna use it on a car. Which parts must I change? Thanks in advance! Sergio |
