I am looking for replacement cam bearings, piston rings and full set of intake and exhaust valves for my 41 fireball. I have part numbers for the valves, but that's it. Valves A600I 315 and A600I 218 Piston rings A600A 208 A600A 216 A600A 223 I admittedly do not know the best way to go about this, but I have the original valves and maybe I should just find modern replacements using their specs or have them made. All advice is appreciated. Thank you Mark |

Mark, recheck the exhaust valve number. my condensed parts list indicate the no. to be A6001-219. Could be a newer exh valve that you have. Have you figured out who made the block? As others have suggested, more likely to get internal parts from an auto parts oriented seller. |

Jim, You have a pre-war graymarine parts list? Is that something you'd be willing to share? I have some pages, but not a complete parts list. And mine is out of a Navy manual and some part numbers done line up with what I have so these could be wrong as you mention. The block is most likely made by Continental, but no obvious indicators and what I've been able to find on Continental that's not a history or about their aircraft engines is sparse. Probably am hunting in the wrong woods. |

I'm having trouble posting photos that aren't too large in size so adding this album for folks to see the engine I'm working to rebuild. There's images of the repair work on the block and exhaust manifold and the electrolysis I did on the crank. I believe this is the same as a Continental F244, but am not sure. There's YouTube videos that suggest it, but what I'm missing is a pre-war example of an F244 to be sure. Hopefully, these images work to help others see what I'm working with. https://photos.app.goo.gl/j3tXjvU5gaR2BZ5g6 Thanks, Mark |
