Hi everyone I finallycame into possession of a '41 fireball 6-140 (yay!). It came mostly disassembled, slightly damaged and missing parts. (awww shucks). On the first and third issues (disassembled and missing parts) I'm pretty darned desperate to get shots from all angles of an assembled engine from that period. If you've got some shots, I could sure use them! Super excited to get this project going.
But first, repair the crack and damage in the water jacket. It's a shame that with so few of these out there, and a community of people that are out there looking to restore and preserve the history of these engines, that there are still a-holes out to make a buck by hiding the truth about what they are selling. Oh well, it will make this engine an even better success story!
Lastly, I need a '41 transmission to go with the engine. If you have or know of an orphaned tranny from '41 please let me know!
