I am trying to disassemble a 4-75 Phantom. On the front of the crankshaft is a splined coupling then the timing gear. How do I get it off. I have removed the 1/2 x 20 bolt holding it to the crank, but does it just pull off? Don't want to break anything. Thanks in advance |

You really need to get your hands on (or make) a puller that grabs behind the stub shaft. I made such a puller about 35 years ago when I needed to remove a stub shaft off a Gray 109. It is pressed on pretty tightly, so you want to remove it correctly. |
