I'm posting this query on behalf of Jan Herbert, Jr. of Holland. If anyone knows of such a device as mentioned in the patent application (link), please email him. I believe he desires a photo of a GRAY engine with the said device, which sounds like a temperature sensitive seal that would enable the manufacture or mechanical to tell if the engine was overheated. Here's Jan's email....... "Hello, there,I have a ,maybe strange question, for five years I am building a big encyclopedia about the works and the life of Laurens Hammond( the famous organ-inventor) ,and i found, that one of his first inventions was for the Gray Company( see here:http://www.hammondclub.nl/nl/menu/Hammond/Laurens_Hammond/Overzicht_Uitvindingen /Heat_Seal ),so, to complete the article, I need a picture, of the boat/motor from that time, maybe, where he used it on.If you can help me,ore know somebody who can, I would be very thankfull!God Bless from Holland; Jan herbert Jr. email: [email protected] " |
