I have these three Graymarine 1953 six cylinder flattops with inboard gearing attached. I'm gonna take them apart for metal scrap, but I'd be willing to take parts off for a reasonble price. Don't like to see this history disappear. The crabby old riverman that owned these kept them in good condition. The oil on dipsticks looks new, but two have been sitting in drydock in an old steel boat for 5 or 10 years, so the outside looks as shown. A third one is on a pallet in storage. I have more pictures if you need. At least one of them has a 1953 date on the case. Contact me if interested in any of it.

What kind of tranmissions do these engines have?

Can you post more pictures or e-mail me some?

Thanks

Clay

I'm unfamiliar with the types. Some markings around the engine that I can read on the photos:
312M5
E-311-M-2
J1S-22
E-99563-M

7204

I'll try to find the better trany photos and post them later.

It's a Chrysler. Not Graymarine

Thanks Jim Staib for the correction about being Chryslers engines. The two motors in the boat look like the pictures, but the one on the pallet actually has a Graymarine plate on it with a model #109 imprint; I assumed all three were the same. This answers the mystery why I received Graymarine and ChrisCraft engine manuals with the "boat". I now see the engines in boat do look like pictures of M47 in ChrisCraft Marine Motors (K, KR, & KB))Instruction Book and Parts List.
I'll move these pictures to the Chrysler board. If I get a picture of the other motor that is on a pallet, I will post it.
-Thanks Much-

Here are the photos of the Graymarine 109 #H9322. The oil is new looking and it has been in a dry storage shed for probably 10 years. book shows H serial # as 1957.

If I were closer than CT.. I would be very interested in the Gray 109 also. (Oh well). I would suggest that you don't scapr any part of that engine.
