First one I've seen. The 3 cyl engine about half way down in the link below may be a Gray, different series. http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/3428/252671.html |

It is a 3 cylinder "T" There are a few around however most of them are twins. There is a real nice single right here in my neighborhood. Here is the pic again that I enhanced as good as the original pic quality would allow

* This post required more gymnastic photo management than most I've seen on this site ? This is the only other Gray Model T triple that I am aware of, its in the Antique Boat Museum Clayton New,york.
It's missing its cylinder head "Hats" Model T with one hat off !
This is a very nice Gray twin T that is gasoline and kereosene capable as shown at Calvert Marine museum 1906
This man said he was a factory man (didn't say what factory} wanted to remove the rear carb mounting plate and examine the fuel nozzle ?
Marc possible to get some good photos of your engine ? * |

This 3 cyl. Gray was exhibited at Mystic in 2007. The caption indicated it was a high performance racing engine. I don't know enough about Gray to speculate whether it was a redesigned/refitted T or a different design altogether. I just know it was one fine looking Gray.

I assume those brass caps were spun? They look slightly different from each other. What was the purpose of the nut and bolt/stud(?) in the middle of the "GRAY" embossed side covers? They are obviously well secured by four bolts already. |

* Thats a real Beauty ! These engines were a true two port / three port design, all of these engs I have seen carbureted the two port inlet, the Gasoline /Kerosene Twin above is the only T I have seen with twin carbs for each cylinder that are on the three port intake ? 1914 Illustration- Hope its readable
