I have a Palmer M 60 in a 34 ft Columbia I just purchased. I am looking for points and condensor' Distributer cap and rotor. Any help with part numbers or a source to purchase them would be greatly appreciated. |

I have an old NAPA / Sierra book that shows them as follows. These are currently available parts (from MarineEngine.com and elsewhere) but they are not currently listed as for Palmer. Plamer parts were dropped from the Sierra book as were Gray Marine, Owens, and many others. If someone can confirm these are correct I could build a page for currently available M-60 parts, because people seem to be looking for the parts. The old catalog says:
- Palmer
- Parts for Contact Controlled Distributors
- 1954-71
- IH60, M60, M-60, PH 45, 134
- Distributor - IAY-4010,A
- Contact Set CS 725A Sierra part:18-5307
- Cap AL 110 Sierra part:18-5355
- Rotor AL 104 Sierra part: 18-5427

Good idea to replace the ignition key switch if it is old. A new marine grade switch at a marine store is about $20. When installing new switch be sure that the drain hole in the body of the switch is pointed down. |
