I have a 1977 Chris Craft built in Sarasota. The engine manuals are for small block GM/Crusaders, but the oil filters are for 5L Fords. I've bee told that they are called Palmer/Crusaders. I am wondering if I am using the right spark plugs (they seem to foul pretty easily). Where can I find out more about these engines? Thanks, this is a great website. |

What is the model number of the engine?
You can get a service manual for the pre-1980 Crusader engines at the following link.
The 350cid pre-1980 Crusader took:
- AC Plug: R-43T
- Champion Plug: RBL-8
- Gap: .035
