Is this Detroit lubricator the original fitting or a Manzel as the catalogue shows? I have or had a "U" bracket with those exact notches at the end rather than holes. I don't remember if it has/had a Detroit lubricator like this one or a Manzel, but it was identical. What was the boss on the back of the cylinder jacket with the single threaded hole originally for? Is the last photo the same engine? The base is different and the pipe for the inlet is not the appropriate round-bead type as in the previous photos. The camshaft gears cover looks to be missing as well. A very interesting transitional engine! |
