My boat didn't come with a tacho, but I plan on putting one in. Anyone have an idea what the max reading for rpms i would get from a palmer p60? looking at tacho gauges, 6000rpm? |

I don't know the specs on the p60, but the tractor version was low rpm, 4000 would be plenty. |

from the Palmer P-60 Operator's manual, Power curve test range was 700 to 3200 rpm.Max hp was indicated to be 27 @ 3200. General specs say 27 @ 3200 rpm. MAX Torque was at about 2000 rpm just over 45 Lb ft. Operating range appears to be about 650 to 3200 max. At 2000 rpm the HP is about 17. |
