A Zenith 68 series carburator to replace the original 61 series carburator can be gotten from Moyer Marine. Is the boat to be operated in fresh water or salt water?

Craig: You can find custom made copper/asbestos compressible marine head gaskets from a guy on the web. The site is: gasketstogo.com I think. Do a Google search for Palmer M60 marine copper head gasket and you should be abl to find it. I bought one and it looks pretty good. They are about 3 times the price of the steel ones from Case but are the only marine gaskets out there. They are made in Thailand by a guy named John Baker. He also makes a lot of other obsolete Palmer gaskets and says he is putting together a complete gasket set for the M60/P60. I'm especially interested in a proper marine manifold gasket.

Craig be careful. Don't try to use the tractor head gasket in a salt water cooled engine. It will be destroyed in months and probably destroy your head and block surfaces. If you fresh water cool as in a lake or with a Heat exchanger system where you use 50:50 fresh water and automotive anti freeze the tractor gasket works fine. You are looking for the IHC CUB-LO-BOY C-60 engine tractor head gasket if you plan to run in fresh water. Don't talk Palmer they will think you are nuts. Don't get confused with the CUB CADET as that is an entirely different engine.
